A furniture designer at work

This exhibition presents a series of stools crafted from wooden offcuts and leftover materials, embedding an iterative element and an “echo” of their past lives. While the stools share a unified structure, their individuality emerges through a dynamic mix of wood and vibrant laminates, subtly referencing the design process and Malmö’s evolving urban landscape. Assembled on-site, the pieces highlight an intuitive approach to making, allowing visitors to observe the transformation firsthand and reflect on the evolving narratives within the materials.

Join us on Friday between 18:00 and 20:00 for a drink and a casual vernissage.

The exhibition takes place at MAKET, Sankt Knuts väg 8, Malmö.

Den 10 september var det för sjunde året i rad dags för Arkitekturdagen på Form/Design Center.

“Inom arkitektur efterlyses allt fler strategier för att minska resursförbrukningen, bevara och reparera det som redan finns. Men vilka grundläggande praktiker är det vi behöver ersätta och vilka system behöver vi reparera? Med titeln Repair the Practice/Practice the Repair riktar Arkitekturdagen 2024 ljus på omsorg som praktik och omhändertagandet av det som skadats eller gått sönder.”

Ett samtal om hur vi ser vår roll som arkitekter i det interiöra rummet, våra tankar om att öppna upp vår praktik och bjuda in till värdeskapande samarbeten. Vi visar exempel från det gångna året och spår in i framtiden.

For the fourth anual edition of Southern Sweden design days in malmö MAKET presented an exhibition about the interior designer's opportunity to make choices with consideration

MAKET (old shool swedish; the room) is founded by swedish architechts Anna Harrysson of Studio AKH and Johanna Larsson of Johanna Larsson interiör. It aims to be a place where interiour architecture and design can take place in the city of Malmö.

As interior architects, we have the power to influence the end customer's choices regarding the purchase of furniture and materials. Creating a carefully designed environment that lasts a long time contributes to long-term sustainability. Therefore, it is also our responsibility to educate ourselves about the suppliers' manufacturing, the designer's process and the choice of materials. In this exhibition, we highlighted through seven themes objects/designers/manufacturers/suppliers that we believe lead us on the way forward towards an interior environment created with care.
